After the outbreak of Covid-19 during the first half of 2020, many organizations have taken their conferences online.

WSIA Annual Marketplace
When: September 14-17, 2020
After careful consideration of a wide variety of factors, the WSIA Board of Directors has decided to cancel our on-site event in San Diego and instead host 2020 Annual Marketplace virtually for members September 14-17. We appreciate your patience and support as we have worked through this difficult process.
This decision has been made with the health and safety of attendees as the top priority. The number of COVID-19 cases in San Diego County continues to increase, and the state has retreated to Phase 2 of its reopening plan there. Additionally, the Manchester Grand Hyatt has further postponed its planned opening date to August 6. These factors, combined with increasing case numbers across much of the country, have led us to decide to host the event virtually this year.
While we all miss opportunities to connect in-person right now, WSIA will support a virtual event platform for Marketplace, which is under development. We plan to deliver a series of webinars on the state of the wholesale, specialty and surplus lines market September 10 and 11 as an introduction to your personal business and networking meetings already being scheduled September 14-17. As we work on the platform and the virtual Marketplace schedule, we encourage all members to continue to schedule their networking meetings for the week of September 14.
For those who preregistered for the event, your feedback was very helpful in our planning. There is no need for you to do anything right now as we will share more details of the virtual event and the registration process with all members as soon as possible. We are excited about the opportunity for members to continue to connect and look forward to sharing additional details about the virtual platform with you in coming weeks.
