Brown & Joseph Completes SSAE 16

Brown & Joseph Completes SSAE 16 | Brown & Joseph, LLC

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ITASCA, IL – Brown & Joseph announced that it has recently completed its examination in conformity with Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No.16, in an ongoing third-party audit process now spanning the last three consecutive years.

Completion of the SSAE 16 examination (reporting on controls at a service organization) indicates that Brown & Joseph processes, procedures and controls have been formally evaluated and tested by an independent accounting and auditing firm. The audit included the company’s controls related to Physical Security, Computer Operations and Availability, Information Security, Application Development Maintenance and Documentation, Data Communication, Client Setup and Maintenance, Transaction Processing and Transaction Reporting.

Brown & Joseph is the nation’s only fully licensed, SSAE 16 certified, commercial revenue cycle and accounts receivable management solutions provider in the country that is also affirmed by A.M. Best with the distinction of “Expert Service Provider”. This is due to their presence in the Insurance Industry.

After a review comparison of Brown & Joseph to the other commercial accounts receivable management agencies in their industry, the comparison reveals that most other agencies are licensed only in the state that their agency or operation center is located, while Brown & Joseph is actually licensed in all 50 states where required.

A review also indicates that most other agencies carry the minimum amounts of bond and insurance state by state, while Brown & Joseph has coverage in many cases that are 10 times the amount of the minimum coverage. This is due in large part to the higher level clients that Brown & Joseph provides services to across the country. Those top tier clients typically require much higher levels of coverage.

“Brown & Joseph has always done well to stay ahead of the curve, and far ahead of the competition, and has long recognized the fiduciary responsibility to our family of clients, and the higher level of integrity and operational excellence that comes with protecting the client’s good name. One of the ways we express that responsibility is by ensuring that we are fully adhering to the highest standards of service quality and operational transparency with SSAE 16 certification.” – Jessica Schneider, Controller.
